"I wrote this tale for Oscar (3yrs) and his Dog Buddy, I did get the chance to read it to him at bedtime!"
One sunny morning, Millie Tess and Buddy three mischievous little dogs, decided to go on an adventure in the woods, with Mrs Paws,
They all put on their tiny backpacks filled with treats and set off on their paws, wagging their tails with excitement.
As the three of them trotted along the winding path, they couldn't help but notice the funny sounds coming from the trees. Millie, Tess and Buddy pulled at their leads, leading Mrs Paws to the sound, their tails wagged and barks filled the air as the three dogs went to discover the source of the sound!
"Did you hear that, Tess?" Millie asked, her ears perked up.
Tess tilted her head to the side and replied, "Yes, Millie! It sounded like a piano playing!"
Buddy asked "a piano playing, in the woods, really that's funny !"
Millie said "come on let's go and see!"
Giggling, the three little dogs followed the sound until they stumbled upon a tree stump with a squirrel sitting on top, tapping its tiny paws on a bunch of acorns. The squirrel looked up and said, "Hello! Fancy a concert?"
Millie, Tess, and Buddy exchanged excited glances and nodded eagerly. The squirrel began playing the acorns like a piano, creating a hilarious tune that made the dogs dance, they wagged their tails, twirled around.
After the concert, the dogs thanked the musical squirrel and continued their adventure. They soon came across a river, and to their surprise, they saw a family of ducks playing a game of water polo. The ducks were wearing tiny goggles and using their beaks to score goals!
The dogs couldn't believe their eyes. They sat by the riverbank, cheering for the ducks and laughing so hard that their little bellies wiggled. The ducks splashed water everywhere, making the dogs jump and bark with joy.
As the sun started to set, Millie, Tess, and Buddy decided it was time to head back home. They were tired but filled with unforgettable memories. They had met a musical squirrel and watched ducks play water polo – who would have thought?
On their way back, they passed a group of wise old owls sitting on a branch. The owls looked down at the dogs and said, "Remember, Millie, Tess and Buddy life is full of surprises. Keep exploring and never stop finding joy in the little things."
The dogs nodded, their eyes shining with gratitude. They knew they would always cherish this magical day in the woods.
And so, Millie, Tess and Buddy returned home, their hearts filled with laughter and their minds buzzing with tales to tell. From that day forward, they continued to explore the woods, finding funny and delightful adventures at every turn.
